31.03.2013 - Record European Club Championship winner HC Den Bosch coasted to a 2:0 (0:0) win against a courageously defending Belarus Champion HC Ritm-Azot Grodno. The Dutch favourite secures the top spot of Pool A.
With the safety of already having reached the Semifinal, the Dutch rested some players against the belarus team. Nevertheless they were the better team in the first half, but Grodno was very dangerous with counter attacks several times. The underdog was defending well and brought the ball quickly into the Dutch circle to challenge keeper Lizzy Koeton in the Den-Bosch-goal.
In the second half Den Bosch was the better playing and dominating team, but had some problems finding a way through the strong defensive bar of the Belarussians. The pressure at grew towards the end of the third quarter, and they rewarded themselves with the well deserved 1:0. Pauline Brugts scored a penalty corner into the bottom left corner (51.). Now the Dutch felt free and just after the start of the fourth quarter Sabine Mol scored the second goal. Now Den Bosch by far the dominating team, acquiring more chances. Ireen van den Assem hits the post (63.) in the last namable scene of the match.
