31.03.2013 - Host UHC Hamburg has won their last pool-match against the Club de Campo Madrid an reaches the semifinal on Easter monday. UHC celebrates an 2:0 (1:0)-victory and will meet Laren MHC in the semi - as in the last season.
The UHC needed the win to advanve to the next round and so they put pressure on Club de Campo early. But the first big chance of the match had former Cologne player Nicole Pahl for the Spaniards. But the shot went wide. But the UHC rewarded themselves for the commitment: Janne Müller-Wieland scored a penalty corner drag flick (18.). UHC-Keeper Jessica Kloevekorn saved two shots brilliantly at the end oft the first half.
In the second half the match lost a little bit pace. Madrid played well, but wasn't really dangerous. But the UHC was not able to create very good chances, exept another penalty corner from Müller-Wieland. In the last quarter of the match Club de Campo put more pressure on UHC, but has to be careful because of couter attacks. One of these ledas to the 2:0, when Jana Teschke scores. UHC now had several more chances, but can't put one more goal on the scoreboard.
