QUALIFICATION

At the Asia Cup Korea became only 3rd and had to get the ticket for the WC at the BDO World Cup Qualifier in Changzhou City. Unbeaten (three wins and two draws) the team finished the pool series and was qulified already as winner of Pool B. During the medal round the team only lost the finals against New Zealand with 1:4.

COACH

Myung Jun Cho is an ex-international player being capatin at the World Cup 1998 in Utrecht where his team became 7th. 2005 he surprised the hockey world by leading his young team to the finals at the 15th Azlan Shah Cup only loosing against Austalia in extra time 3:4.

For many years the success of the Korean Hockey had been connected with the name Sang Ryul Kim. In less than two centuries he recruited from a couple of hundred hockey players an international top class hockey team winning the silver medal in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
