A strong first half was enough for their victory. India is now on the third rank on the table, Argentina finished the tournament on rank four.
The game between the two pointless teams started in front of 1.000 spectators cautious. The Argentinean team waited just behind the middle line for attacks of the Asians who built up their game. The first great action was a penalty corner of the South Americans which could be cleared by keeper Chetri (7.). Minutes later the Indian team gained their first corner and specialist Sandeep Singh´s flick was blocked undeliberately by Lineman German Orozco to make the lead for the Asians: 0:1 (10.). After some attacks of the Argentinean team Tushar Khandkar made his way alone over the left side and passed the ball precisely to Rajpal Singh. He just had to black the ball into the empty goal: 0:2 (18.). Seven minutes later Raphla Singh scored again. This time it was Praboth Tirkey who passed him a strong flank from the right side. Although the Argentineans claimed high ball, umpire Rafa Ruiz decided for goal (26.).
